I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July.

In my trying to make these elections broad and transparent I am let with a lot of resistance and a general feeling of this being an impossible task.

I wanted to share with you photos I took of participatory democracy in action in "Barrio 23 de Enero (a historic revolutionary neighborhood http://www.venezuelanalysis.com/analysis/1344)" of Caracas Venezuala in 2006. You see here the elections of "Consejos Comunales" - the local governing boards - 1 board with different committee members at the level of 350 families - with a quorum of 20%.

If they can do it we can at least try. Help me out with the event at the Ashkenaz please.
